In an effort to increase awareness of the treatment of diabetes type 2 among the Latino population, an effective communication strategy was developed across multiple digital channels, portraying “Don Francisco”, a popular Spanish-speaking celebrity who suffers from diabetes type 2, as a spokesperson of the campaign called Myths or Facts. The implementation of the Myths or Facts section to the existent website massively increased the number of clicks, as well as the engagement time of users surfing across the website.
These results motivated the development of a more ambitious second phase for this project.
